The wide receiver position in the NFL is arguably the most talented it has ever been, with superstars starting to emerge over the last few years, setting up what will almost certainly be an entertaining 2023 NFL season with some of the league’s best wideouts looking to put on a show.

One of those wide receivers will be Minnesota Vikings superstar Justin Jefferson, who has taken the league by storm since he was drafted with the No. 22 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of LSU.

Ahead of the 2023 NFL season, Jefferson sat down with Matt Harmon of Yahoo Sports to talk about the best of the best at the wide receiver position in the league.

Unlike other rankings that ranked players overall, Jefferson ranked current NFL wideouts in terms of being the best route runners, via Yahoo Fantasy Sports.

Unsurprisingly, Jefferson named himself the top route runner in the league today but did say Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders is also at the top as 1B.

Then, Jefferson went with veteran wideout Keenan Allen of the Los Angeles Chargers, which is an interesting choice, considering the 31-year-old has found it incredibly tough to stay healthy and on the field.

Coming in at No. 4 is Buffalo Bills star Stefon Diggs, who tends to be mentioned a lot in these kinds of lists about wide receivers.

Finally, Jefferson names his old college teammate from his days at LSU in Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals.

It’s wild to think that Jefferson and Chase were once on the same team.
