This coming NBA season, all eyes will be on incoming rookie Victor Wembanyama, the 7-foot-3 phenom from France who has been described as a generational talent.

He has been called one of the greatest prospects in NBA history, and the sky seems to be the limit for him.

But with great expectations come great challenges, and Michelle Beadle says that the 19-year-old will have a target on his back, via SiriusXN NBA Radio.

No NBA rookie has been hyped up as much as Wembanyama since LeBron James came into the league in 2003, and there are likely those who will be waiting for the French native to fall flat on his face.

In his first NBA Summer League game, it looked like perhaps the hype was excessive, as Wembanyama struggled with both his shooting and the physicality of the sport at the pro level.

But in his second game, he looked like the player people feel he can become, as he dropped 27 points and added 12 rebounds and three blocked shots.

His offensive repertoire is still somewhat raw, but he showed considerable growth in that area this past season while playing for the Metropolitans 92 in his home country.

Wembanyama has lucked out by being drafted by the San Antonio Spurs, the franchise that raised David Robinson and Tim Duncan into Hall of Fame centers.

He will be coached by the legendary Gregg Popovich, who was just inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, which will give him the best chance of succeeding at the next level.
