Last season, the Denver Nuggets showed what a dominant franchise can do when everything comes together from top to bottom, as Nikola Jokic and company wiped the floor with the competition.
Heading into the 2023-24 NBA season, every team in the league will be gunning for the Nuggets and preparing to combat their style of play in the same way they did when the Golden State Warriors began their dynasty a decade ago.
The Nuggets could very well be a team that stands the test of time in the NBA with seemingly everything going for them right now, with arguably the best player in the league leading the way.
However, teams around the league haven’t just sat on their hands during the offseason, as they’ve made moves to take down the defending NBA champions.
Former NBA superstar Charles Barkley talked about the team that could be a significant threat to the Nuggets next season while on “The Bill Simmons Podcast” via The Ringer.

As expected, considering he played for the franchise and took them to the NBA Finals at one point in his playing career, Barkley went with the Phoenix Suns as a threat to the Nuggets.
Phoenix made more significant moves than any team in the league over the last six months or so, with the team bringing in Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal to play alongside Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton.
There’s a lot of star power in Phoenix, but sometimes that isn’t enough when facing a great all-around team like the Nuggets
There’s no doubt it will be an all-out battle between these two heavyweights next season.
