Coming into the 2023 NFL season, most around the league expected the Las Vegas Raiders’ Josh McDaniels to be the first head coach fired into the year.

McDaniels’ first season in Las Vegas ended in disappointment as the team finished with a 6-11 record and missed the playoffs.

Under McDaniels, the Raiders looked like a mess on both sides of the ball and it even led to the team parting ways with long-time starting quarterback Derek Carr.

However, McDaniels’ second season with Las Vegas has gone better so far as they are currently 3-3 with back-to-back wins to their name.

Maxx Crosby is a large reason why the Raiders have been winning because he’s wreaking havoc along the edge and getting into the backfield.

As far as his view on the job McDaniels has done, Crosby offered nothing but support for his head coach via The Pat McAfee Show.

“Coach McDaniels has done an awesome job and the guys love him.. I have a ton of respect for him and we have a great relationship,” Crosby said.

Crosby acknowledges that there have been plenty of negative things said about McDaniels, but he goes on to express how much he’s respected him for coming in and being the same person every day.

Whether it’s fair or not, professional sports is a results-driven business and McDaniels needs to deliver wins if he hopes to keep his job for the long-term.

So far in 2023, he’s done well to get the team into the position they’re in now, but the challenge will be for him to sustain that level of success for the rest of the season.
