With only two wins after the first seven weeks of the 2023 NFL season, the Denver Broncos know the writing is on the wall in terms of the team being headed toward a disappointing end to the regular season.

Even though the storied franchise pulled out all the stops in hopes that superstar quarterback Russell Wilson and Super Bowl-winning head coach Sean Payton could turn things around quickly in Denver, the opposite has happened, as this team just can’t seem to put it together.

Now that it appears clear that the Broncos are heading in the wrong direction, the team is having a fire sale of sorts by making their best players available in an effort to start from scratch.

The team has already traded Randy Gregory to the San Francisco 49ers and released Frank Clark, but they might not be done there, with all sorts of rumors swirling about the Broncos.

Cornerback Patrick Surtain II, who is arguably one of the team’s best players, has been someone that teams are asking about, but it seems as though he’s valuable enough that Denver does not intend on moving him, according to Benjamin Allbright.

With Surtain off the table, it’ll be interesting to see what direction the Broncos go in moving forward
