The Baltimore Ravens are trying to prove that they’re more than just another good team, and they took a step toward proving that when they beat down the Detroit Lions, 38-6, on Sunday.
In that game, quarterback Lamar Jackson was sensational, completing 21 of 27 pass attempts for 357 yards and three touchdown passes while adding 36 yards and another touchdown on the ground.
The Ravens will play the 1-6 Arizona Cardinals this coming Sunday, and it could be the proverbial trap game for them, but Jackson, per Jamison Hensley, dismissed that concern.

The Cardinals are without quarterback Kyler Murray, who is still recovering from a torn ACL he suffered late last season, and Joshua Dobbs, who doesn’t exactly scare any opposing defenses, has been filling in for him this season.
They may be the worst team in the NFL, and a squad such as Baltimore has to make sure there is no subconscious letdown and that it doesn’t play down to the level of a team such as the Cardinals.
Baltimore may not be a legitimate Super Bowl contender, but they look improved this season, as Jackson is free of the contract dispute he had been embroiled in with management for many months.
Through seven games, he has completed a sizzling 71.0 percent of his pass attempts and has thrown for 1,610 yards and eight touchdown passes, and he has added 363 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.
He has a new weapon in rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers, who has put up 442 yards and one touchdown so far this year.
