After they recently parted with All-Pro safety Kevin Byard in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, some have assumed that the Tennessee Titans are looking to unload some more of their priciest veteran players before this season’s trade deadline on Tuesday.

Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and running back Derrick Henry are two Titans players who have appeared in some of the latest trade rumors swirling around the league, but it doesn’t sound like they will be switching teams anytime soon.

On Sunday, The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported that Tennessee is not looking to deal Hopkins or Henry to another team before Tuesday’s trade deadline unless they receive an offer for either player that is “exceptional.”

Hopkins is in the first year of a two-year contract he signed with the Titans back in July, and in six games this season, he’s hauled in 27 passes for 376 yards.

Before joining Tennessee this year, the All-Pro wide receiver had stints with both the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans.

Henry has been a member of the Titans ever since they selected him in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

In six games this season, the veteran running back has rushed for 425 and three touchdowns on 98 carries in addition to catching 11 passes for 117 yards.

Overall, Tennessee is off to a disappointing start this season, with only two wins in their first six games.

The Titans missed the playoffs last season for the first since 2018, and with the way things are currently going for them, a finish on the outside of the postseason for the second season in a row seems likely.
