Light Rain, Snow Forecasted for Jammu and Kashmir

SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar has forecasted the chance of light precipitation in the form of rain or snowfall in isolated to scattered high-altitude areas on November 2 in Jammu and Kashmir.

The weather is expected to be predominantly cloudy, with the potential for light rain or snowfall in these elevated regions continuing on November 2–3 across Jammu and Kashmir, according to the Meteorological (MeT) office. From November 4 to 6, the weather is projected to remain predominantly dry.

Presently, the weather is clear in most areas of Jammu and Kashmir and will remain so until November 1, as reported by the Meteorological office. The minimum temperatures recorded on Tuesday in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, were 4.6 degrees Celsius, Qazigund 3.0 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam 0.8 degrees Celsius, Kupwara 3.1 degrees Celsius, Kokernag 4.8 degrees Celsius, and Gulmarg 4.0 degrees Celsius.
