The NFL trade deadline was Tuesday afternoon, and a number of teams, including some contenders, made some deals in order to get better.
The San Francisco 49ers, who are already chock-full of talent, added defensive end Chase Young, who was the No. 2 pick in the 2020 draft.
The Philadelphia Eagles got some help at the safety position in Kevin Byard, and the Seattle Seahawks acquired defensive lineman Leonard Williams.
However, the 5-2 Dallas Cowboys did nothing.
Emmanuel Acho said on FS1’s “Speak” that even though a number of contenders are possibly vulnerable, the Cowboys messed up by not making a move to bolster their playoff hopes.

There had been speculation that perhaps the Cowboys would go after a wide receiver to get Pro Bowler CeeDee Lamb some help or perhaps a cornerback to replace the injured Trevon Diggs, but nothing happened.
While the team has won its last two games, including a 43-20 thrashing of the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, some still doubt that it is a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
Dallas will play the Eagles this Sunday, and it will be a prime opportunity for Dallas to prove that it is a team that can end up holding the Vince Lombardi Trophy this winter.
Acho feels that perhaps the Cowboys were “arrogant” for not making an upgrade via trade.
At the end of the day, how far they go this winter will ultimately fall on quarterback Dak Prescott, who has a history of not playing well when it matters most.
