If the Commanders have any struggles on the ground, Howell can typically get it done through the air.
He isn’t just having success against some of the NFL’s worst defenses, but proving he is capable of picking apart any team.
In the Commanders’ two games against the Eagles, Howell threw for a combined 687 yards and five touchdowns.
The Eagles are among the league’s best top defenses.
If he can play well against them, it bodes well for his chances against any team in the league.
Howell’s standing as the Commanders’ starting quarterback was in serious doubt when the year began.
He was supposed to be in a quarterback competition, which seems to be over at this point.
The fanbase has continued to latch onto him as their franchise star, and his teammates have also rallied around him in the locker room.
