The NFC South appears to be wide open during the 2023 NFL season, and the New Orleans Saints are looking to take advantage.
The Saints have the most talented roster in their division and they added to their lead in the standings as they picked up a victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 9.
New Orleans got off to a slow start as the defense struggled to slow down Tyson Bagent and the Chicago offense in the first half.
However, they were able to force multiple turnovers in the second half to seal the win and hand the Saints a hard-earned 24-17 victory.
It wasn’t the prettiest of wins, but New Orleans will happily take it considering how uneven they have looked throughout the regular season.
Matt Ryan is familiar with the Saints during his time with the Atlanta Falcons and he had a funny moment on the field when Saints star Cameron Jordan came to greet him via Bleacher Report.

Ryan faced off against Jordan and New Orleans numerous times during his time in Atlanta and the defensive end showed off his playful side by coming from behind him and hugging him.
Video circulated of Jordan sneaking up on Ryan and grabbing him, much to the surprise of the former quarterback.
However, it was all in good fun as the two smiled afterward.
Although Ryan may be out of the league, Jordan is still playing at a high level and is hoping to lead the Saints back to the postseason.
