The start of every NBA season has plenty of surprises, twists, and turns that few fans see coming.

This season, one of those surprises has been the success of the Indiana Pacers.

PacersMuse pointed out that the Pacers are one of the only teams to have at least six wins so far this season.

Although this tweet excluded the Golden State Warriors in the West, who also have six wins, Indiana’s inclusion in this exclusive group is still very impressive, especially after the last few years they’ve had.

Last season, the Pacers ended with a 35-47 record, landing them in 11th place in the Eastern Conference.

While the new season is still very young, and tons can change in the months ahead, the Pacers are clearly off to a much better start in 2023-24.

So far this season, the Pacers have racked up a few strong wins against competitors like the Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, and others.

On Thursday night, they took down the Milwaukee Bucks, despite Giannis Antetokounmpo playing his heart out and scoring 54 points.

At the center of the Pacers’ success has been a young and spry lineup, featuring Tyrese Haliburton, Myles Turner, Bennedict Mathurin, Buddy Hield, and more.

Veteran newcomers Bruce Brown and Obi Toppin have also been strong.

For years now, the Pacers have been on the cusp of being great but have consistently fallen short.

Head coach Rick Carlisle has clearly found something that works with the roster.

Now the Pacers have to stay consistent and healthy if they wish to turn this strong start into a long, productive season.
