The Cleveland Cavaliers engaged in a terrific battle against the Golden State Warriors in the 2023-24 NBA season.

While the Warriors were the favorites to win the game, the Cavaliers shockingly registered their second win of the season over the Warriors.

Sure, the Cavaliers won the game 118-110, but a key factor behind the victory was the early ejection of Draymond Green after an altercation with Donovan Mitchell.

It was the result of a missed foul call on Mitchell, which was later reviewed by the refs and led to Green’s ejection.

After the game, Mitchell shared his honest reaction to his altercation with Green via Chris Fedor on Twitter.

“I don’t push people for no reason. Couldn’t let that go without nothing being done,” Mitchell said of his altercation with Green.

Donovan Mitchell pointed out that he’s not someone who pushes players for no reason, and it was Green’s fault for initiating the fight.

From a performance perspective, Green put up 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in 18 minutes of action before getting ejected from the game.

On the other hand, Mitchell had 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists against the Warriors.

Following the win, the Cavaliers have improved their record to 4-5.

Sure, they are still the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference, but winning two games against the Golden State Warriors must give the Cleveland Cavaliers immense confidence.

After all, it’s the first time since the 2009-10 NBA season that the Cavaliers have managed to attain a season sweep against the Warriors.
