They said that commuters are advised to adhere to lane discipline, as overtaking may lead to congestion.
They added that this improvement comes as a relief, and motorists are urged to drive cautiously to ensure smooth traffic flow in the area.
Earlier, officials said that the Jammu-Srinagar national highway, connecting Kashmir with the outside world, was temporarily closed for traffic in the wake of shooting stones in the Ramban.
