After the Los Angeles Clippers acquired superstar James Harden to play alongside fellow stars Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Kawhi Leonard, the consensus around the league was this franchise was back in title contention and could become the team to beat in the Western Conference.

Unfortunately for the Clippers, the trade has resulted in two steps back rather than a giant leap forward, with head coach Tyronn Lue and his coaching staff struggling to figure out how to play all these star players and get the best out of them on the basketball floor.

It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that this new star-studded squad is headed toward disaster, as they may not ever figure out how to co-exist on the floor, resulting in another failed experiment to build a superteam that works in the NBA.

Even though things are getting pretty dark in Los Angeles, with the Clippers getting criticized left and right without a win since Harden joined the squad, Westbrook seems to be having the time of his life off the court while celebrating his 35th birthday, via NBACentral.

Many believe the solution could simply be having Westbrook come off the bench rather than in the starting lineup because he’s the one player out of this foursome who seems to struggle to play with other star players the most.

If Westbrook’s stint with the Los Angeles Lakers playing alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis is any indication, the Clippers coaching staff could be in for a long and disappointing season.
