Commanders RB Sets Clear Expectations For Giants Game

The Washington Commanders have put several strong performances together this year.

They have come close to beating the Philadelphia Eagles twice, a sign they can compete with some of the NFL’s best teams.

However, they ultimately lost both of those games, and hold a 4-6 record on the year.

Moral victories do not mean a lot in the NFL, even when a team is struggling.

Antonio Gibson discussed this with reporter Scott Abraham after a recent practice.

When talking about the Commanders’ performances thus far, Gibson said, “We know what we’re capable of, but at the same time, it’s about to be Week 11.”

Gibson acknowledged the fact that the Commanders have turned in several positive performances.

Those close performances are still marked as losses next to their name.

The Commanders also recently lost a close battle with the Seattle Seahawks, the latest heartbreaking loss for this team.

If they want to make the playoffs, they need to start winning these close games.

As Gibson later said, “It’s gotta click, it’s gotta click now.”

This team is filled with play-makers on both sides of the ball.

Sam Howell has been a breath of fresh air in this offense, proving to the organization that he can be a great facilitator when given the opportunity.

The same goes for their defense, with star players in this unit such as Emmanuel Forbes, Jonathan Allen, and Daron Payne.

If they can put everything together, resulting in a winning streak, this team could get back into playoff contention.
