Former NBA Player Details LeBron James’ Motivation To Win New Title

When discussing the best players in NBA history, most people are quick to bring up Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

Both played in different eras, but their accomplishments are hard to ignore.

Jordan won six championships to James’ four, but James is the better statistical player due to his longevity.

In the eyes of many, James is still chasing Jordan for the top spot.

One thing James can win this year that Jordan never had the chance to is the In-Season Tournament.

This is the first season of the tournament, but Chandler Parsons thinks James is motivated to win it.

As shared by Ballislife.com, Parsons said, “This is another thing on his resume that MJ can’t have. If we are looking at the GOAT argument, yeah, this is just more ammo for him.”

Ultimately, it is foolish to think the In-Season Tournament will have any effect on James’ legacy.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver put his tournament in place to keep players and fans engaged during the regular season.

Yet, what most of the players are playing for is the monetary incentive that goes to the winning team.

So far in tournament play, James’ Lakers are 4-0 and have advanced to the knockout stage.

It certainly seems like his team is taking this seriously.

Yet, even if James wins the In-Season Tournament it should not impact his legacy.

While it will be interesting to see who wins, the GOAT debate will not be swayed by it.
