Right now, the Philadelphia Eagles are considered the best team in the NFC and possibly the entire NFL, as they hold the league’s best record at 9-1 and are a couple of days removed from defeating the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs on the road.

But right behind them are the San Francisco 49ers, who have rebounded from a three-game losing streak to reassert themselves as contenders by winning their last two games by a healthy margin.

Next weekend, the 49ers will head to the Delaware Valley to take on the Eagles in a rematch of last season’s NFC Championship Game.

It begs the question of whether they’re truly on the same level as the Eagles, and LeSean McCoy, who was once a star running back for the Eagles, said on FS1’s “Speak” that it isn’t the case.

The Niners are trying to win their first Super Bowl since the 1994 season — they have reached the NFC Championship Game in three of the last four seasons and got to Super Bowl LIV, where they lost to the Chiefs.

If they are to finally fulfill their Quest For Six, they will likely have to go through Philly before being able to play for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

San Francisco has defeated some good teams this season, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars, and there may be something in Philly they can expose.

The one real crack in the Eagles’ beaks right now is their pass defense, and head coach Kyle Shanahan’s crew appears to have the tools to be able to get a victory against them in Week 13.
