During the NFL offseason, the Carolina Panthers were one of the most aggressive teams in the league when it came to the team attempting to improve their roster and set up a promising future.

The team clearly had enough of a revolving door at the quarterback position and chose to make a blockbuster trade with the Chicago Bears for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft in order to grab one of the talented quarterbacks coming out of the college game.

The Panthers had no shortage of talented young quarterbacks to choose from, with four players in the draft expected to be franchise quarterbacks in the near future, with Bryce Young out of Alabama being the cream of the crop.

Carolina chose to roll the dice on Young, and things haven’t gone as planned, with the team having one of the worst seasons in recent memory, which could result in head coach Frank Reich getting fired.

According to Will Kunkel of FOX 26 Houston, Reich is on the hot seat after the team lost to Will Levis and the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

With another loss on the season, the Panthers are sitting at 1-10 on the year and seem to have a bleak outlook for the immediate future, as they may have gotten it wrong with the pick to bring in Young while also potentially hiring the wrong head coach in Reich.

Only time will tell if Reich will make it through the season and whether Young can turn his career around after a forgettable rookie season.
