The Arizona Cardinals finally have Kyler Murray back on the field.

Murray came back to the Cardinals on November 12th, his first time seeing NFL action in more than a year.

The Cardinals were in rough shape when Murray returned, as their record was well below .500.

After three weeks, fans and analysts have a small sample size of what this team looks like, now that their franchise quarterback has returned.

When discussing the state of the Cardinals on a recent podcast, analyst Brian Baldinger talked about the fact that “it’s probably not all that fair, but you do have to evaluate” where things are at.

On this podcast shared via Johnny Venerable, Baldinger also asked, “Are we building a roster that can win a championship?”

He then went on to talk about the Philadelphia Eagles, who he believes are in a great position to win championships.

Baldinger called the Cardinals “a long ways away” from competing, also asking about the organization’s long-term plans at quarterback.

Murray was initially believed to be their franchise quarterback.

He was performing as one of the best QBs in the league, causing the Cardinals to sign him to a massive contract.

With his recent performance and injury concerns in mind, Baldinger wants the organization to take a step back and evaluate what they have going on.

If they don’t think they can win a championship with Murray at the helm, the Cardinals might have to make several organizational changes in the next few years to best compete moving forward.
