Only NC Can Bring Jammu and Kashmir Out of Darkness, Says Rattan Lal

SRINAGAR: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of the National Conference in Jammu, has denounced the government’s portrayal of colossal development in Jammu and Kashmir, citing a stark contrast between official narratives and the realities faced by the public.

Gupta declared that the government’s claims of progress are false, emphasizing that people on the ground are grappling with multiple issues without visible solutions.

Addressing party functionaries from Jammu Urban, Rural A, Rural B, and Samba districts at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan in Jammu, Gupta asserted, “The castles of development made by the J&K Government in the air are distant apart from reality. The only solution to rescue people from this misery is the National Conference.”

Key figures at the meeting included Chander Mohan Sharma, District President of Jammu Urban, Raghbir Singh Manhas, District President of Jammu Rural A, Naresh Bittu, District President of Jammu Rural B, Saudagar Gupta, District President of Samba, Pinky Khalsa, District President of Jammu Urban Women Wing, and S. Tejinder Singh, District President of Jammu Urban YNC.

In addition to addressing the pressing issues, the meeting outlined a detailed program to celebrate the 118th Birthday of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah on 5th December 2023. All other districts are set to commemorate the day at their respective headquarters.

Prominent personalities present at the meeting included Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial Secretary Jammu, Deepinder Kour, Ex-MLC, Abdul Gani Teli, Chairman OBC Cell, Vijay Lochan, Chairman SC Cell, and various other party functionaries. The diverse group discussed the party’s plans, emphasising the need for a realistic approach to address the developmental challenges faced by the public in Jammu and Kashmir.
