Tyreek Hill Calls Out Commanders Defense After Performance

As expected, the Miami Dolphins made easy work of the lowly Washington Commanders on Sunday afternoon, with Tua Tagovailoa and company dropping 45 points on Sam Howell’s squad.

This is the second straight week in which the Commanders have given up 45 points to an opponent, as they did the same thing on Thanksgiving Day against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys.

Obviously, this is a testament to how good the offenses of the Cowboys and Dolphins are, but also how poorly Washington has played defensively this season, which superstar Tyreek Hill made sure to point out after Sunday’s game at FedExField in the nation’s capital.

According to Barry Svrluga of The Washington Post, Hill was baffled by the Commanders going with man coverage against him after all the success he’s had this season with Miami.

Once again, as expected, Hill torched the Commanders’ defense as he caught five passes for a game-high 157 yards and two touchdowns, which was more than enough to put this team away on Sunday.

The Dolphins also got it done on the ground in Week 13, with running back De’Von Achane carrying the football 17 times for 73 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

With this win over the Commanders, Washington falls to 4-9 on the season (1-5 at home), with the team starting to look toward the 2024 NFL Draft rather than a trip to the postseason.

As for Miami, Hill and company take another step closer to winning the AFC East division title, as they have improved their record to an impressive 9-3, which remains one of the best records in the league.
