With a 9-3 record, the Miami Dolphins are currently in possession of the No. 1 seed in the AFC heading into Week 14 of the 2023 NFL season.
A bunch of the Dolphins’ success this year has been due to their dynamic offensive combo of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
Some might want to point to only one player for the other’s success this season, but FS1’s Emmanuel Acho recently shared his belief on Twitter that Tagovailoa and Hill have both played a significant part in what the Miami duo has been able to accomplish this year.
“Tua balls because of Tyreek Hill. Tyreek Hill balls because of Tua. This year, we don’t have to separate the 2, they’re both great!”

During his explanation, Acho shared the statistical evidence that Hill didn’t make the same impact on the field last season when Tagovailoa had to miss some time.
It’s a small sample size (five games), but it still gets the point across that Hill needs Tagovailoa on the field to succeed just as much as the Dolphins quarterback needs his top wide receiver on the field to succeed.
Miami will be hoping that this impressive offensive duo can remain healthy for the remainder for the season in their efforts to finish as the top seed in the AFC.
If the Dolphins are able to accomplish this, they will earn a bye for the first round of the playoffs, and their path to appearing in a Super Bowl for the first time since 1984 will be much shorter.
Next up for Tagovailoa, Hill, and the rest of their Miami teammates is a matchup on Monday night in their home stadium against a 4-8 Tennessee Titans team.
