Coming into the 2023-24 NBA regular season, the Chicago Bulls were already making headlines for all the wrong reasons, with the team rumored to be ready to blow up the roster if this group couldn’t put it together before the NBA trade deadline in February.
With star guard Zach LaVine being arguably the best player on the team, this thrust his name into the rumor mill, with talks of Chicago potentially being willing to part ways with him before the deadline.
Even though it seems as though the Bulls would be more than willing to trade him elsewhere, LaVine’s massive contract hasn’t exactly been a selling point for Chicago, as taking on his deal isn’t exactly an easy pill to swallow for teams around the league looking to build a championship squad.
Along with all the trade rumors swirling around right now that involve LaVine, he’s not been happy with the franchise in Chicago, as he’s known full well that they tried to trade him over the summer, and he’s grown frustrated with the narrative questioning if he can lead a title-contending team, according to K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago, via NBACentral.

Regardless of LaVine’s feelings about the situation in Chicago or how they view him moving forward, it seems inevitable at this point that he’ll be traded at some point in the near future, as the two sides appear to have grown tired of one another.
Unfortunately, LaVine is dealing with a foot issue that is expected to keep him out until next month, which is interesting timing with the trade deadline in February.
