Broncos RB Suddenly Pops Up On Injury Report

After winning five straight games and being arguably the hottest team in the NFL, the Denver Broncos came back down to earth last week against rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud and the upstart Houston Texans.

Even though the Broncos are coming off a loss, which is their sixth of the season up to this point, the team still has a chance to make a playoff push in the final stretch of the regular season.

Fortunately for Denver, the final five games of the regular season don’t pose any significant threats outside of a game on the road against the Detroit Lions on December 16.

In Week 14, Russell Wilson and company will go on the road to face the Los Angeles Chargers, who have turned into a team looking more toward the NFL Draft than the NFL playoffs, with a possible drastic change to the coaching staff on the horizon.

Even though it could be argued that the Broncos are the better of these two teams, the Chargers are slightly favored to come out on top in Week 14 in Los Angeles.

One of the reasons the scales may be tilting in the Chargers’ favor right now is the questionable status of running back Samaje Perine, according to Zac Stevens.

Perine has played well for the Broncos in the short time he’s been on the field for Denver, as he’s rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown on 37 carries while also making an impact as a receiver with 35 catches for 342 yards.

If Perine is unable to go for Week 14, it will impact that team’s chances of coming out on top.
