SRINAGAR: The lone female cricketer from the Kashmir Valley, up for auction, has remained unsold at an ongoing ceremony in Mumbai.
Jasia, 35, the sole woman cricketer from the region to participate in the WPL, having been acquired by Delhi for a base price of Rs 20 lakh in the previous edition, did not garner bids as she went unsold in the second round of the auction for the WPL 2024 edition.
Hailing from Braripora village, located approximately 63 km south of Srinagar, Jasia is a right-hand top-order batter who has ventured into Women’s T20 cricket through various national-level tournaments. (GNS)
