During the summer, while preparing to start his college basketball career with the University of Southern California, Bronny James, son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, suffered a cardiac arrest on the practice floor.

Fortunately, USC officials acted quickly and were able to get Bronny to a hospital as quickly as possible in order to address the problem that no one saw coming.

The scary on-floor incident shed a lot of doubt on whether Bronny would be able to continue his basketball career at USC and if his dream to make it to the NBA had come to an end.

On Sunday, after making a full recovery from the cardiac arrest, Bronny made his debut for the Trojans in what was a special day for him, his family and all those who have been rooting for him to bounce back, like Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant, who took to Twitter to show his support.

Along with Durant, retired Miami Heat superstar and former teammate of LeBron’s, Dwyane Wade, also showed his support for Bronny by taking to Twitter, saying it gave him chills to see the young player get back on the court on Sunday.

Ultimately, USC ended up losing to Long Beach State, with Bronny finishing with four points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 17 minutes off the bench.

Even though the loss spoiled Bronny’s debut, it was a massive step in the right direction for the 19-year-old, who can build off this experience and press forward with his basketball career.
