The New England Patriots could be reportedly parting ways with HC Bill Belichick.
Belichick’s tenure in charge of the team has been glorious, but all things eventually come to an end.
Also, it’s impossible to put the blame somewhere else, as he’s also the GM and has made every single decision regarding the coaching staff, personnel, scouting, and whatnot.
Simply put, he put together the team from top to bottom, and if everything failed, that was on him.
With that in mind, NFL analyst Kevin Wildes believes he could have a tough time finding a new job that suits his aspirations.
If Belichick is going to leave the Patriots because he is forced to give up GM duties, he’s not going to join another team unless upper management is totally hands off…which the bad teams are not.

The Pats could force him to give up his GM duties, which would likely result in his resignation.
However, Wildes believes the ‘bad’ teams don’t have ‘hands-off’ upper management, so they’re not likely to give him that much power going forward.
Truth be told, that would be the wisest decision.
Belichick’s ways have proven to be outdated, and while he’s used to being his own boss, someone would have to keep him in check.
He needs to delegate and work within the natural structure of all NFL teams.
Making all the decisions put him in this place to begin with, and he’ll have to deal with the fact that he’ll just have to prove himself again as soon as he walks out the door in Foxboro.
