The defense team for Bryan Kohberger has been granted access to the house at 1122 King Road in Moscow, Ihado, where four University of Idaho students were brutally murdered last year.

The home is now set to be demolished on Dec. 28 at 7:00 a.m. after the defense goes inside.

They were first expected to access the house on Thursday, Dec. 14 and on Friday, Dec.15 to take photographs, measurements and possibly drone footage.

In the early hours of Nov. 13, 2022, Kaylee Goncalves, 21; Madison Mogen, 21; Xana Kernodle, 20; and Ethan Chapin, 20; were found stabbed to death inside the six-bedroom, three-bathroom residence.

“It is the grim reminder of the heinous act that took place there,” said university president Scott Green in a press release. “While we appreciate the emotional connection some family members of the victims may have to this house, it is time for its removal and to allow the collective healing of our community to continue.”

The house was given to the university in early 2023 and occupies 2,300 square feet.

The killings took place on the second and third floors of the home.

It was most recently rented in June 2022 for $2,495 per month, with each level boasting two bedrooms and one bathroom.

Two other female roommates, Dylan Mortensen and Bethany Funke, were in the house during the killings, but survived the crazed knife attack.
