SRINAGAR: The body of a Rajouri man was recovered from the Jhelum River in the Gadhanjipora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag on Saturday, officials said.
An official said that the body of the man, identified as Rumi Sharma, 24, son of Chaman Lal, was retrieved from the Jhelum River by the police and locals.
“The apparent cause of death is drowning, and exact details will be confirmed after a medical examination,” he stated.
The official mentioned that the body was decomposed and has been sent to SDH Bijbehara for medico-legal formalities. (KNO)
