Giants DC Makes Hall Of Fame Claim For Rams Star

Being traded to the Los Angeles Rams was the best thing that could’ve ever happened to Matthew Stafford.

Despite being a part of some historic seasons and constantly putting up huge numbers, big comebacks, some epic drives, and playing through injuries, Stafford never got the recognition he deserved for playing with the Detroit Lions.

He only needed one year away from the team to win a Super Bowl, going full circle and fulfilling his destiny as a former No. 1 pick.

That was also enough for the rest of the league to finally give him his flowers, and that includes his rivals.

With that in mind, New York Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale raved about the way he’s playing right now (via Connor Hughes).

Martindale claimed Stafford is playing like a Hall of Famer, adding that he should be right there with Lamar Jackson at the top of the MVP conversation.

The Rams have won five of their past six, with their only loss coming to Lamar and the Baltimore Ravens.

They’ve turned the season around are now 8-7 and on the outside looking in on the playoffs.

Stafford has turned back the clock after an injury-riddled season to prove that he’s still got plenty left in the tank and that he’s still one of the best passers the league has seen in quite a while.

And with the Giants on deck for New Year’s Eve, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him put on another show and have his sixth straight game with at least two passing TD.
