The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for ways to improve their roster this offseason.

Looking across the AL East, the Blue Jays have to see the toughest division in baseball.

Each team in the East may be in a position to make a playoff push in 2024.

But, for the Blue Jays to separate themselves from the rest they need to make some moves.

The first move they made was to sign a utility player away from the New York Yankees.

According to the Blue Jays, they have officially signed Isiah Kiner-Falefa to a two-year contract.

Kiner-Falefa is not much of an offensive player, but he is valuable on defense.

He won a Gold Glove award in 2020 and can play many different positions.

Last season, he spent time in the outfield and at third base.

It is easy to set a lineup with a player like Kiner-Falefa able to play so many positions.

But, the Blue Jays need more help if they want to be serious contenders.

Looking at the AL East, you could make the argument the Blue Jays are the fourth-best team in the division.

The Orioles and Rays were better than the Blue Jays last year, while the Yankees added Juan Soto.

MLB is an offensive league and the teams that win are usually the ones that score the most runs.

It is easy to overlook the Blue Jays after falling short in the playoffs the last two years.

But, if they can sign a few impact offensive players they can find themselves back in the hunt.
