Former Player Says Dolphins Duo Must Step Up Against Lamar Jackson

The Miami Dolphins have proven that they can put up points in the blink of an eye, even against the most stout defenses in the league.

Nonetheless, they’ve done most of their damage at home and aren’t as efficient when they’ve been forced to play on the road.

With that in mind, the key to success against the Baltimore Ravens and their elite offense, perhaps the best in the league, will be to try and slow Lamar Jackson down, which is obviously easier said than done.

That’s why former NFL star Jason McCourty took some time during “Good Morning Football” to dissect this game, stating that Bradley Chubb and Andrew Van Ginkel could be the X-factors for Mike McDaniel’s team here.

They need to disrupt everything Jackson does in the pocket, but that’s going to be a bit of an uphill battle.

McCourty acknowledged that the Dolphins also have an elite defense since Jalen Ramsey came back, and they’re definitely better than the defense the Ravens faced last season.

Then again, Baltimore has an elite offensive line, and we’ve never seen Jackson spending as much time in the pocket as he’s doing now.

He has way too much time to move, think, and go through his progressions, and that’s usually bad news for rival defenses.

Whatever the case, the Dolphins will have to be almost perfect to leave Maryland with a win that could get them closer to the No. 1 seed in the AFC, not to mention make a statement and proving the naysayers wrong.
