Jordan Clarkson Broke A Long Utah Jazz Drought On Monday

The Utah Jazz have had their fair share of legendary players, with John Stockton and Karl Malone as the clear No. 1 and No. 2 all-time.

The franchise has had some other talented players throughout the course of the years, such as Gail Goodrich, Gordon Hayward, Pete Maravich, Adrian Dantley, Jeff Hornacek, Andrei Kirilenko, Carlos Boozer, and Deron Williams, among many others.

Nonetheless, it had been quite a while since any of their players recorded a triple-double.

As a matter of fact, Jordan Clarkson’s triple-double just snapped a streak of 1,256 games without having a Jazz player recording a triple-double, according to NBA on ESPN.

Unsurprisingly, it was the longest streak of its kind around the NBA.

Clarkson was at his best in the upset win over the Dallas Mavericks, logging 20 points to go along with ten rebounds and eleven assists.

He’s always been one of the best offensive players in the league when it comes to providing an instant offensive spark off the bench, and this year hasn’t been the exception to that rule.

The Jazz have repeatedly refused to part ways with him and trade him, and they even signed him to a contract extension not so long ago.

Nonetheless, with their season going way worse than expected, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Danny Ainge trying to get something valuable in return for the combo guard, as multiple contending teams could be in the market for a scorer of his caliber, especially if he continues to put up numbers like this.
