With the NFL regular season coming to an end and multiple teams assessing all of their options, we’re going to hear and read Jim Harbaugh’s name multiple times in the next couple of weeks.

The University of Michigan Head Coach is most likely getting back to the pros after Monday night’s College Football Championship game, and there’s no shortage of teams interested in his services.

With that in mind, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports that there’s ‘a mutual interest’ between Harbaugh and the Las Vegas Raiders, although he does admit that there’s also plenty of internal support for interim coach Antonio Pierce.

Schultz adds that Harbaugh also has an interest in the Los Angeles Chargers’ coaching vacancy.

“There is mutual interest between the Raiders and current Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh,” Schultz said.

Pierce has done a solid job as interim coach and seems to have the full support of his players.

Mark Davis reportedly has a high regard for the former player, and he’s drawing plenty of consideration to get the full-time job.

Nonetheless, the Raiders know they cannot afford to get things wrong again, so they’re going to go the extra mile and keep all their options open before finally making a decision.

As for the Chargers, they were also reportedly expected to be in the mix for Bill Belichick, who’s more than likely going to part ways with the New England Patriots at some point in the offseason.

Whatever the case, both candidates would be a significant upgrade over Brandon Staley, who couldn’t even finish the season after yet another disappointing start to the campaign.
