The Kansas City Chiefs wild card match against the Miami Dolphins at Arrowhead Stadium was so cold that things were freezing throughout the stadium.

Taylor Swift’s suite windows were frosted over with ice while beers exploded from the cold in seats with fans.

But one of the funniest things to freeze over was Andy Reid’s iconic mustache.

Photos of Reid’s icicle-clad facial hair circulated on social media throughout the Chiefs’ win over the Dolphins on Saturday night and quickly went viral.

That photo, if anything else, should be the first encapsulation of how cold that game actually was on Saturday.

The Chiefs weren’t deterred by the frozen temperatures, though, and cruised to a 26-7 win over the Dolphins behind a big night from quarterback Patrick Mahomes and a stalwart defensive showcase on the other side of the ball.

The win could change the narrative around the Chiefs as they defend their Super Bowl title, as questions about the team’s staying power in the playoffs ran rampant after Kansas City lost several games to bad teams throughout the regular season.

Now, the Chiefs await a match against either the Buffalo Bills or Houston Texans in the divisional round.

Hopefully this time the weather wherever the Chiefs play won’t be so cold that it freezes over Reid’s mustache.
