The Houston Texans found a legitimate star at the quarterback position.

He’s already established himself as the best QB in the AFC South Division, and he should’ve been an MVP candidate if he had played the entire season.

That’s why, following his win in the wild card round over the Cleveland Browns, NFL analyst Nick Wright went as far as to say that Stroud has now cemented the single-greatest rookie season ever.

Talking on First Things First, the analyst claimed that Stroud had a better season than some stars who were great as rookies, such as Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Russell Wilson, and even Justin Herbert.

C.J. Stroud has cemented the best rookie QB season ever,” Wright said.

Stroud would’ve broken all rookie-related marks if he hadn’t missed a couple of games with a concussion.

It’s not usual to see a rookie QB look so poised and ready to make an impact, let alone lead a team that won just three games in the prior year to the playoffs.

Stroud and the Texans will now have a tough challenge, as they’ll have to hit the road and travel to Maryland to face the team with the best record in the entire league.

Then again, he’s coming off torching the best defense in the NFL, and he knows he doesn’t have anything left to prove at this point.

So, even if this is the end of the line for him, he might’ve had the best rookie QB season this league has ever seen.
