Lamar Jackson Had 6-Word Message For C.J. Stroud After Game

Lamar Jackson proved why he’s an MVP candidate and why the Baltimore Ravens are the best team in the AFC after they took down the Houston Texans in a big divisional round win.

Jackson rushed and threw for touchdowns two touchdowns apiece in the victory while the defense kept Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud off the scoreboard for the entire game.

But while Stroud’s season is over and Jackson’s will continue, the Ravens veteran took a moment after the game to let the rookie quarterback know how good his career could be after just one season in the NFL.

“It’s just the beginning for you,” Jackson said, via NFL Films and Ari Meirov on Twitter.

Stroud put together a great season and is likely the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year after leading the Texans to the AFC South title and a first-round win over the Cleveland Browns.

But he couldn’t overcome a stout Ravens defense that ranks No. 1 in the NFL this year.

For Jackson, he got to see both the start and finish to Stroud’s rookie season after the Ravens faced the Texans in Week 1 of the regular season.

Both games ended up similarly with Baltimore winning big and preventing any Houston offensive touchdowns, but the tape speaks for itself and Jackson clearly sees stardom in Stroud’s future.

The Ravens will stay home to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC title game, while Stroud and company will return to Houston and figure out how to build off what ended up being an incredible rookie campaign.
