After a very disappointing 2022-23 NBA season, which resulted in the Dallas Mavericks missing the NBA playoffs altogether, after making it to the Western Conference Finals and acquiring superstar guard Kyrie Irving in a blockbuster trade, the team seems to be bouncing back with Luka Doncic making a strong case for NBA MVP.
Even though the Mavericks aren’t currently mentioned in the same breath as some of the elite teams in the West, like the Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Minnesota Timberwolves, Doncic and company have some signs of promise to be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time.
Along with averaging close to a triple-double with 33.6 points (2nd in the NBA), 8.3 rebounds, and 9.2 assists (3rd in the NBA) per game, Doncic has been mixing things up with his look while on the basketball floor this season.
The Slovenian superstar has been sporting a white headband a lot lately, and now it appears he’s decided to go with a new hairstyle, as he debuted on his Instagram account, according to ClutchPoints.

Whatever Doncic is doing, it’s working, as he’s been a nightmare for opponents this season while clearly motivated to right the ship after a forgettable season last year.
With the NBA trade deadline only a few weeks away on February 8, it’ll be interesting to see if the Mavericks brass try to make some moves to add more talent around Doncic in order for this team to compete with the best of the best in the West moving forward.
