Analyst Names 2 Potential Candidates To Replace Joe Barry

The Green Bay Packers made a major change to their coaching staff.

Joe Barry’s job as defensive coordinator left something to be desired, especially this season.

The Packers had some subpar performances on defense, and they were quite vulnerable to the running game for most of the season.

Now, HC Matt LaFleur will be on the hunt for a suitable replacement.

With that in mind, Albert Breer of the NFL Network reports that Titans pass-game coordinator Chris Harris had an impressive interview with the team a couple of years ago, and LaFleur is also familiar with Ejiro Evero from his days with the Los Angeles Rams, so they should be two people to keep an eye on.

The Packers boast plenty of talent on the defensive side of the field, so there should be plenty of candidates more than willing to take their defense to the next level.

They already proved what they’re capable of by slowing down both the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers’ offenses, which are two of the most explosive in the league, particularly at home.

They have a bright future and could be a legitimate Super Bowl contender in the next couple of years if they play their cards right.

Barry’s departure seemed a bit overdue, as he was rumored to be on his way out late in the campaign after back-to-back subpar performances vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers.

Then again, considering his experience and résumé, it shouldn’t take long before he gets another opportunity to do his thing somewhere else.
