Luka Doncic was drafted as the third overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks, but he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks on draft night.

Honestly, it turned out to be a great decision by the organization, as Doncic has established himself as one of the best players in the league over the past few years.

Doncic’s scoring ability was on full display in the Dallas Mavericks’ recent game against the Atlanta Hawks.

The European superstar contributed 73 points to the Mavericks’ 148-143 win over the Hawks.

Following the historic performance, Doncic has joined Michael Jordan to become only the second player to have multiple games of scoring more than 60 points in a game before turning 25 years old, as revealed via Bally Sports Southwest on Twitter.

Prior to his 73-point performance against the Hawks, Doncic scored 60 points vs. the New York Knicks in 2022.

Considering Luka is still just 24 years old, he could truly rival Michael Jordan’s scoring feats when he hits the prime of his career.

Yes, even though Doncic is averaging 34.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game, he is yet to hit the prime of his NBA career.

After all, most experts believe that a basketball player truly reaches the prime of their respective careers during their late 20s.

At the end of the day, Doncic’s primary goal will be to help the Mavericks win their first NBA Championship since 2011.
