Last season, the Tennessee Titans showed that the team is headed in another direction and would rather start rebuilding around rookie quarterback Will Levis rather than holding out hope that veterans like Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry could lead them to the Super Bowl.

As a result of the changes in Tennessee, Mike Vrabel is out of a job, and Tannehill is still looking for work, with the team going all-in with Levis while bringing in Brian Callahan to be the new leader on the sideline for the Titans.

One former Titans player who may have benefited greatly from the moves made in Tennessee is superstar running back Derrick Henry, who signed with the Baltimore Ravens in NFL free agency.

Henry joins a team that came one win shy of reaching the Super Bowl, with fellow superstar Lamar Jackson winning NFL MVP for the second time in his career, potentially setting up a championship window in Baltimore.

Although the Ravens were already talented offensively, Henry might be a game-changer for the Ravens, as it takes the pressure off of Jackson while providing another solid option in the running game.

Mina Kimes of ESPN believes it will be a big year for Henry in Baltimore as she thinks he will have a “career renaissance” with the Ravens in 2024 via NFL on ESPN.

“Derrick Henry is going to have a career renaissance because of the situation he’s walking into. I think this combination is a match made in heaven,” Kimes said.

If Henry can stay healthy, motivated and productive in Baltimore, the Ravens may have made the best free-agent signing of the offseason, as he might be able to help the team tremendously.

The veteran back might also be the missing piece to get the best of the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL playoffs.
