Leroy Hoard Has ‘The Most Questions’ About 1 AFC East Team

The race for the AFC East title should be very interesting this season.

Many people feel the Buffalo Bills, despite trading away Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs and losing WR2 Gabriel Davis this offseason, will still finish first in the division because of the great talents of quarterback Josh Allen.

If that’s what transpires, the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets will be battling to claim one of the AFC’s three wild-card playoff spots.

Some people think the Jets can do something special this year, but former NFL running back Leroy Hoard wonders how a 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers will bounce back from a torn Achilles and build chemistry with an offense he has barely gotten any reps with, per Zach Gelb.

“The team that I have the most questions about is the Jets,” Hoard said.

Rodgers, of course, was traded to the Jets from the Green Bay Packers last offseason amidst lots of fanfare and hype.

He joined a team that had plenty of talent on both sides of the football, only to promptly tear his Achilles on the Jets’ first offensive series of the 2023 season.

Such an injury is devastating for any athlete, but it can be much more so for someone such as Rodgers, who has 15 years of wear and tear as a starting quarterback on his body.

If he is still able to play at a high level, however, New York should be very competitive thanks to their wide receiver duo of Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams, stud running back Breece Hall and a loaded defense.

That scenario could make the race for the AFC East title a furious one.
