After losing to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs once again in the NFL playoffs, in a situation that seemed primed for the team to finally get over the hump in the postseason, the Buffalo Bills headed into the offseason knowing that some changes would be on the horizon.

Unfortunately for superstar quarterback Josh Allen, the team lost two of their best receivers, with Buffalo trading superstar wideout Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans and Gabe Davis deciding to head elsewhere in NFL free agency, signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In the aftermath of the team losing arguably two of their most consistent weapons on offense, the Bills will be put to the test during the upcoming 2024 NFL season, as it is unclear whether this team will be able to remain a legitimate Super Bowl title contender in the AFC.

Despite the exits of Davis and Diggs, former NFL head coach Herm Edwards believes Allen has what it takes to endure these losses and lead this team as currently constructed via NFL on ESPN.

“You can tell Josh Allen is a quarterback, he’s a leader of men,” Edwards said.

Fortunately for Buffalo, and Allen for that matter, the team was able to draft a talented wide receiver in Keon Coleman out of Florida State, who could quickly become a star and a new favorite target for the perennial Pro-Bowl quarterback next season.

However, it remains to be seen if the Bills can still be the high-powered offense they have been known to be, which has resulted in a lot of uncertainty in Buffalo.
