Stephen Curry’s NBA journey wasn’t as easy as some people think.

Yes, he was the son of a former NBA player, but it’s not like Dell Curry was a superstar or that Stephen Curry was a highly-touted recruit.

He had to work his way up, prove the doubters wrong, and earn every single thing he’s gotten in his career.

Curry won four NBA championships and made it to the NBA Finals six times in the so-called LeBron James era.

Three of those rings, he won against LeBron James himself.

That’s why now that he’s accomplished almost every single thing any NBA star could’ve ever dreamed of accomplishing, Jeff Teague believes he could reach Kobe Bryant’s level one day.

Talking on his podcast, the former Atlanta Hawks star called Curry the greatest point guard ever, and he thinks that winning a fifth ring would put him right there with Kobe (Via NBA Central).

Bryant won five NBA championships in seven trips to the NBA Finals, and he’s considered to be the most influential player of his generation and the greatest player in Los Angeles Lakers history, so this is a major statement.

Then again, considering how difficult it is to repeat in this league, Teague might not be that far off.

The Warriors were the last team to win back-to-back titles, and no team has even made it to the NBA Finals twice in a row since they did it.

Also, one-upping LeBron James in rings would definitely boost his already incredible legacy.
