Jonathan Taylor Names The X-Factor For Colts This Season

After losing rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson, who looked like a game-changer for the Indianapolis Colts, after four games to start the 2023 NFL season, the team couldn’t rebound, even though Gardner Minshew ended up having a Pro Bowl year.

Fortunately for the Colts, Indianapolis will get their young star under center back on the field to start the 2024 NFL season, with the Colts potentially being a force to be reckoned with in the AFC moving forward.

Along with getting Richardson back to lead this team’s offense, the Colts will have star running back Jonathan Taylor back after he played in only 10 games in 2023 and 21 games over the last two seasons.

Although Taylor and Richardson will play pivotal roles in the team’s success in 2024, Indianapolis has an “X factor” in the form of head coach Shane Steichen, according to the team’s star running back via Up & Adams.

“When you have a coach that has the grittiness and edge like he does… He coaches like he’s a player, playing in the game,” Taylor said.

Obviously, Taylor has bought in on Steichen being the head coach in Indianapolis, which likely indicates the whole team is on board and bought in with the start of the 2024 campaign right around the corner.

On September 8, the Colts will face CJ Stroud and the upstart Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium in what will almost certainly be a tough matchup between young star quarterbacks and two franchises that might be headed in the right direction.
