Ever since the Kansas City Chiefs made superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes the starter under center, the storied franchise has been the team to beat in the AFC West division, with the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos doing everything in their power to try to catch up.
Unfortunately for the three other teams in the division, no one has come close to even competing with the Chiefs for the division title, as Kansas City has dominated the competition in the AFC West as well as the conference in general, paving their way to three Super Bowl titles won in the Andy Reid era.
With the Chiefs coming off back-to-back Super Bowl titles, it seems like it will be more of the same in the division heading into the 2024 NFL season, as Kansas City is a heavy favorite to win the division crown once again, according to NBC Sports Bet.

Although the Chiefs are the favorite, and understandably so, each team in the division has made strides to improve, with the Chargers bringing in new head coach Jim Harbaugh, the Raiders potentially having an elite defense led by Maxx Crosby, and the Broncos starting fresh with rookie Bo Nix under center.
Despite the upgrades for these three AFC West teams, it would be safe to assume the Chiefs will cruise to another division title while potentially making NFL history as the first team in league history to win three straight titles, adding a fourth Vince Lombardi Trophy to Mahomes’ trophy case in Kansas City.
