SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) advised its domestic consumers on Monday to approach only empanelled solar PV vendors for the installation of solar rooftops under the PM Surya Ghar Scheme.
KPDCL spokesperson in a statement said that some consumers are being approached by solar vendors for SRTs who are not registered with KPDCL under the PM Surya Ghar Scheme. “The list of empanelled vendors, including contact details, is available on the National Portal of PM Surya Ghar and can be accessed for selecting vendors of choice,” he advised.
The spokesperson further clarified that consumers who have their solar rooftops installed by vendors not empanelled with KPDCL will not be eligible for Central or UT subsidies.
“KPDCL has been issuing advisories through its social media channels warning customers not to be deceived by unregistered vendors,” he added.
