The Cleveland Browns are hoping to make the playoffs again this season and this time do some damage once there, but they have some things to sort out first.

Star running back Nick Chubb, who suffered a severe knee injury in Week 2 last season, is hoping to bounce back, but there is no return date set for him as of now.

They also need to find a way to help quarterback Deshaun Watson resemble the star he was while with the Houston Texans after two dismal seasons in Cleveland.

In an effort to improve the depth of the roster, the Browns reportedly have worked out Eno Benjamin, Trey Dean, Myles Jones, Tyreque Jones, Trenton Thompson and Rachad Wildgoose, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.

Benjamin did well in college while at Arizona State, and in 2018 and 2019, his last two years there, he ran for a combined 2,725 yards and 26 touchdowns.

He was a seventh-round draft pick in 2020 by the Arizona Cardinals, and since then has appeared in 24 NFL games, posting 431 yards and three touchdowns on 111 carries.

Benjamin missed all of last season due to a ruptured Achilles tendon he sustained during an August practice with the New Orleans Saints.

Dean, a safety, was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad last winter when they won the Super Bowl championship.

Myles Jones and Tyreque Jones were undrafted free agent defensive backs in 2024 and 2023, respectively, and Thompson is a defensive back who went undrafted in 2022.

Wildgoose is another defensive back who was a sixth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and has appeared in 20 NFL games since then.
