Leading up to Week 1 of the NFL season, many things can transpire during training camp and the preseason games that can give indications as to what to expect from team to team during the regular season.

Storylines are bound to be made during this period of time as teams get ready for the 17-game grind of the regular season, and this year is no different as every training camp has at least one talking point or concerning aspect that gets talked about in the media frequently.

The Cleveland Browns are coming off a better-than-expected season in 2023 because few believed they could be a force to be reckoned with, especially on offense, without star quarterback Deshaun Watson and superstar running back Nick Chubb.

Fortunately for Cleveland, defying the odds became customary for the Browns last season until they were blindsided by a very good and young Houston Texans team that was ready for them in the first round of the NFL playoffs.

With Watson getting back healthy and Chubb trending in that direction, many believe the Browns could have a solid year in 2024, but that might not be the case after Dianna Russini of The Athletic dropped a bit of a bombshell on The Dan Patrick Show about what she saw at the team’s training camp in a joint practice with the Minnesota Vikings.

“I just happened to be there on a day that the offense was just off,” Russini said. “The offensive line didn’t look as sharp as I was expecting them to. Deshaun didn’t look like he had a lot of presence out there.”

With the Browns hoping to have their offense healthy at some point early in the season, this is not the kind of news fans want to hear in Cleveland, as it is not a great sign of things to come.

However, things can change drastically once the regular season gets underway, but this is definitely not a good sign for the Browns moving forward.
